Anyone knowing any of the troop members or instructors of troop 3/80 are asked to PM or email admin with the person's details (email, telephone or anything you might know). The troop will be holding their 30 years reunion in 2010 in Deal (not so much a case of lock up your daughters, more like 'Lock up your mothers'!).
Other instructors include the training team from the School of Music in 1980.
CSgt Curly Barlow (TQ), Sgt Tony Hewling (DL), Cpl 'Stix' Maktelow (DL) plus any of the PWIs.
I see Dave Russell quite often through work so we can get hold of him quite easily. I even came across Jan Haskel a few months back when he came to us looking for a transfer from the Mets. He hasn't changed a bit. I heard his voice first which sent a shiver down my spine!!! (Fekking Bendy Wenkers)!! Haaaa!! Anyway if we need to get him there I'm sure our Admin people will still have his contact details.
Slater!!

Not seen Buck Paul but I do know where Tony Hewling is. I can contact him for the next one. Keep the contacts mate and we'll use them at the next reunion. _________________ The Royal Marines Band Service on line
I cant wait till 2010?????? Surely we should have an interim reunion if only to plan the 2010 one??? (beret shaping seminar optional!!!)
So the reunion is at 10 past 8. But you haven't actually said what day it is _________________ Two guys are drinking in a bar. One says, "Did you know that lions have sex 10 to 15 times a night?" "BUGGER !" says his friend. "I just joined Rotary."
(I joined up a year before you, so I can call you that!)
Sorry to hijack your thread, but I was wondering if anyone had contact details for one of your troop members, Richard Rowe. I lost contact with him a few years ago after divorce, house moves etc, and would love to get in touch with him again.
If someone could PM me then I would be eternally grateful.
Best of luck with your reunion _________________ There's nothing cushy about life in the Women's Auxilliary Balloon Corps!
Is this the John C who is related to the "Scran Man in the Van Eating Lots of Pussers Scran??"
I bumped into Dick Rowe recently John. I'll have a try and get hold of some contact details for you so watch this space.
Cheers then all the best!
Wolfy
You could well be right, Woolfy!
On the subject of Scran Men..........
I work nowadays as a train driver, one of my routes is the line between Brighton and Pompey. One Saturday afternoon last Autumn, having driven a stopping service from Brighton, I called at Fratton station, dropping off a load of football fans. I thought one of the passengers who walked past the cab looked very familiar, but I didn't have time to shout out before I was off again.
It was only when I got home that I discovered that Pompey were at home to West Ham that day, and that the spectacle-wearing carrot-topped guy in the claret sweat-shirt must have been...................
Doddy!
I'll keep an especial eye out for him next season!!
