Following this years successful visit to Portsmouth, Virginia, the RNVB have been invited to return for the 124th Memorial Parade in May 2008.

Your Bandy should have details of the trip and how to apply. Please note closing date is Nov 30th 2007.

Barons here we come! (apart from greenfairy who is longing for the Bier Garden instead )

How much do I need to save up in case I get picked to go?

£400 - like last time. Unless folks can come up with some top ideas for fundraising/sponsorship!

*note to self - start saving*

sorry mrbassbone. I was all for a US East Coast Tour - think it was rejected on cost grounds - which is kinda understandable. Maybe you could come up to meet us though?

Your bandy should have, by now, put up a sheet for those wishing to go to USA in May 08 to scribe their names on. Some have contacted me directly and that is also most welcome. Reponse so far is good so, book eairly to avoid disappointment.

Help! I'm joining AMBUSH in Barrow in January, and it doesn't have a RNVB. Neptune is the closest at two and a half hours away. Can I still go? I was at sea for it last year, so I know nothing about it, bar what Grommit's told me, and that was mostly dits. (They were great dits, I'm not having a go!) What are the dates? I love Band Camp me!

Dates are 19th-29th May and send pussycat a PM or drop him an email here at the Nelson VBI orifice for more info

I'm sure you'll be welcome to come though - it's bound to be more fun that being in Barrow (but then so is having your fingernails pulled out from what I've heard!)

And the best part about next year's trip (other than the essential BIG mugs of beer to be drunk) - it's for the same amount of time but there's less gigs involved!!!

Hi Axl, sadly I am being moved at the end of Jan. This means no Cologne trip and no USA for me. Good new is that my releif is as keen as I was to make USA trip happen - again.
Q Do you play anything apart from shiny poo stick?
This would be an advantage for getting on trip as there are alredy three interested in going.
List closes end of this month.
Please note Our own GF has agreed to move from flute to 2nd clarinet because she realy wants to go..........back to the bier garden.
Remember - Nothing's final 'til it's final and as many will be accommodated as possible.

And I'm never sitting in 1st again - just tell pussycat that playing Superstar wh!en there are no clarinets is not a good plan as greenfairy's emergency clarinetting is not good
