**Pub Update**There's now a notice on the door saying that the pub is being converted in to a Chinese restaurant and bar 
Not entirely sure what I make of that but I guess we'll see...

GF - saw a prog on TV last night showing a Pub a day is closing - mainly to provide flats !!
You're lucky yours is to be a Chinese - at least another communal meeting place ?
Of course the ones in London are going for a fortune - and being converted into ONE home - last I heard of went for 2 million quid - plus the alteration costs..

Sad news indeed, GF. Although I absolutely adore chinese food and could live off the stuff for the rest of my life and wish I could have the chinese buffet at gunwharf for breakfast, dinner, tea, and supper and naturally dream about the stuff it's a shame you're losing the pub.

I don't particularly like the Water Margin PR. Much prefer The Great Wall of China, the other side of the Ferry..... Pompey 1 - 1 Fulham.

The Great Wall of China is a lot nicer for atmosphere, but I much prefer WM. It's nice to be able to see what you're choosing.

I've got a doctors appointment tomorrow, blood tests Tuesday, and quite possibly various other hospital tests after that. I bet at the end of it all they just put me on a strict bloody diet.  If they do, will I never, ever be able to eat another chinese meal? Will I never, ever be able to drink another pint? And whilst Pompey manage a draw away from home how can I possibly stomach another S@uthampton supporter boasting about their six nil win yesterday?  Come on Ffoglamp. You know you were lucky.
