What is a dit? I know I just haven't got a clue, YET!
General Melchett

A story, long or short, hopefully true and usually embellished.

But remember: never let the truth get in the way of a good dit.....

Not to be confused with a US Navy "Sea Story" that always begins..."this is no sh*t".
Mr Bass Trombone

Sea Stories

Do they spend long enough at sea to tell sea stories , as I remember it was one day out , two weeks in to recover.Probably had more salt on my eyebrows than they have on their MacDonalds, come on lads lets swing a few lamps.

And a pension as well its not to buy the beer though Bob the things they go around a bouy in are dry, and they sure as hell dont spend much when they are ashore, two beers one rum and coke picked up by the shore patrol D&D back one board for a ickle sleep, all that and they still get good conduct medals and bronze stars, why dont they tell the truth, like us they get the damn things for undetected crime we dont mind being honest.

The initial GC Medal is issued for "4 years of undetected crime". Each additional bronze star is for "4 MORE years of undetected crime". Does THAT float your boat?

Mr Bass Trombone

So you never really got a good conduct medal you got what we called badges(one every four years) to you upside down chevrons on our left wrist and a shiny bit of tin, bit like a sherriffs star, but we got a real GOOD CONDUCT MEDAL after 15 (yes)15 years of undetected crime now that is a real MEDAL. so get back on your horse and drink your milk.
2nd Clarinet

Mick....

What are you using?

I suggest a 'Bruce and Walker' Carbon Double Handed Rod,
21Ib line, and a 'Shadow Shrimp' or 'Cascade'.

Well known for really big catches.

Isn't a High Colonic like a high five? No wonder I get funny looks playing sport and run at people, hand in the air shouting "Gimme a High Colonic!"

I have just read the entire "?" thread, and find it highly amusing. the best bits have to be Tommo rofling to the other comments. I can understand that Tommo, but its you that makes i laff.

Anyhow, about this Mr. Bone war. I think they are both jealous becuse they want exclusive rights to the Mr Bass Trombone name. I have trouble working out which is which anyway, with similar names. I always look at location and can therefore see if its USA or Spain.

Anyway, for whatever my twopennyworth is worth (probably zilch), I would like to say that I am most disappointed with Spain's comments to USA, as they appeared to be more rude than pisstaking or after a bite.

Therefore on behalf of all the ex RMB regulars on here, I would like to apologise to USA (Shell) for his behaviour. So, don't be put off Shell, and hurry back.

As for you, Spain, you've been too long in the sun, so swig your San Mig (thats a chemical weapon if ever I saw one), which is far inferior to milk anyway, and wind yer neck in !!!!

I'm going with the senior member here:-

USA 426 posts
Spain 82 posts

I rest my case.

Any comments ?

Thanks Ffoggie for the vote of confidence. We have people like the other fellow who rant and rave and push their knowledge <usually based on the stripes or chevrons on the arm> in other people's faces.

As for jealosy...not me. Doesn't matter a hoot to me other than I have been using the name mrbassbone ever since I started going online with the fledgeling aol many centuries ago.

The only reason I have not been posting regularly in a while has been due to work and believe it or not...I have not had much relevant to say.

I will be out of state & country for a while. Aug 7th is our 30th wedding anniversary so we are "getting out of Dodge" so to speak.

See you all later.
