The only FunFare Trompeters I can recognise from that picture is Jon Yates on the left and possibly Dave Wilson on the right???? Can't make out the guy in the middle of the Team. Oh yes, and Dave Dawson holding the big Stick.....

Did you see the news this evening Mark??? (Meridian) Corps of Drums rehearsing their HG's routine. Jim Christopher, Wiggy Whitham and also Al Piner were interviewed. Good coverage....
FFoglamp

No. I missed it. I could have caught Meridian too. I was "playing" football in garden with my son. Might be another snippet on the late news !

Yes Aaron, it is your imagination.

Deli is a funfare alpine hornist of the thin red line variety, a 5 note pedestrian only.

September 1985. Dress rehearsal on North Barracks Parade Ground with The Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders, prior to departure for the USA Tour. Sorry, but it's not Dave Wilson on Funfair Trumpet...I'll have a guess at Ernie Barnard?

Can that be classed as irony?

Is that why Aa Aa said about Deli's ironing talents?

I cant.......and Deli would never blow his own fanfare trumpet. He is far too modest.
