Dit Book

Hi, all you Neptune Vollies,
Last night in t'Caple, it was suggested that we start a dit book; so here it is.......
Over to you......
ZedHorn

there was this one time.... at band camp......
Quasijock

Hi there Dr Zed,
Unfortunately, Band Camp is in Dorset this year (too close in time to the Festival for any of us to attend) and therefore us Northeners cannot comment. It's a pity because we have hosted a few of the Sarfies before and a good time has been had by all.
PS
Tigers for the Treble looking good
Wee Mac McDrums

Bring me off with your hand!!!

So, there we were, practicin' our soloists piece, when the second percussionist let rip with a big cymbal cressendo,

Martin: Mac, that was a great sound, but I think I'm going to bring you off at the end of that.

Mac : Sounds like an ofer I can't refuse Bandy, Which hand are you going to bring me off with? (looking innocent!!!)

Martin: I think I'll bring you off with my right hand as I have to bring off the soloist with my left?

Soloist : That's OK, bring Mac off with which ever hand you want, I bring myself off!!!!

At Dulles airport in Washington at the end of the Portsmouth, Va gig.....

Sitting in a bar which sells food, mac orders a steak sandwich...

Anne sees Macs sandwich and proclaims at the top of her voice...

Feck, look at the size of Macs - I don't think I could get all of that in my mouth in the one go!!!!
Wee Mac McDrums

Then there was the time when Mac and Anne were walking along Helensburgh high street towards the pier -

Mac came out with a smutty comment and Anne replied:

"Mac McSherry, I'm going to take you to the end of that pier, and when we get to the end I'm going to toss you off!"
ZedHorn

Anne - bless!! Thank heaven there's only one of her..... angel!

Wee Mac McDrums

If "Anamosity" isn't in our beloved VBIs vocabulary, then how the hell did he manage to say it 4 times tonight???? I have lots of words that aren't in my vocabulary, vocabulary being one of them!!!
devildog946

WMM must have been an interestring trip back then

Did he get a new vocablary whilst you lot were off on yer trip across the pond? A new dictionary perhaps?

Nobody has got their dits out yet
Quasijock

What does "Anamosity" mean. I haven't got a dictionary or a vocabulary
greenfairy

If it's any help I don't have a clue as to the purpose of the verbosity and existentialism of it all

Hi GF.
That's a big help if you have a BA in English; however my degree is in Applied Ignorance!!

PS
The only animosity I've seen lately was directed at you unfortunately.
greenfairy

I've only got half a BA in English though!

And if you have to work at being ignorant then you really can't be

I like people not liking me. It lets me know I do actually exist and am not a figment of someone's warped imagination. Or am I?
A

Well, when I hugged you last week you were definitely solid.

What have you got? The B or the A
greenfairy

There's always one

And I think the B cos it's BA in English & History

I'm a Master in sheer stupidity though which is far more important
Quasijock

As far as I can tell, there are no B's or A's in English or History
But there again I am ignorant
greenfairy

There are indirectly when you take in to account the books and papers which have As and Bs in abundance.

It's all a load of rubbish anyway and a waste of money. What does a fairy need with a degree?
Quasijock

Now I'm confused: Someone just told me there's a B&Q in Glasgow!!!!!!!
greenfairy

The world is far too confusing for my poor wee brain
devildog946

ur complaining im only a teen. they think we dont think
Quasijock

Lat night at rehearsal
VBI wanted to make a cut from bar 48 to bar 65,
2nd trom decided to score those bars out in indelible INK,
VBI started conducting the piece,
2nd Trom realised he had the wrong music up!!!!!!!!

"When the band you're in starts playing different tunes, I'll see you on the dark side of the moon"

ON YOUR ROCKET NOW JIM
windypipes

Dont worry, that happens in nelson band too!

Oh btw - visiting your band in september.......

Dates to follow!

Quasijock

Will be good to see you again Windy, we'll organise a few beers...
Catch up with you at the Festival shortly.
Sorry didn't mean to call you shortly
Wee Mac McDrums

Steve, if I called you shortly, would you put all other calls on hold, or would you buy me a double vodka and coke instead of a carling dearling?????
Quasijock

Sorry Wee Mac, No can dooooooooo!
Voddies are for girlies, unless there's something you need to tell me.
windypipes

Erm

Have I missed something here?
greenfairy

You're not missing your sanity which is probably the problem
Wee Mac McDrums

I now humbly appollogise fro lall my badd speeling on choesday knight, in mitigation I was a wee bit pished (or squiffy)

I hope everyone was conffused by my drunken rantings, however Neptune corps of drums now only has 90 minutes to work out a drum static routine on the flight on the way doon south ( guess the trophy is safe this year!!!!!!)
greenfairy

You, pished?!! Now there's something you don't see every day

Anyway, how hard can it be to come up with a drum static thingy - it's only a matter of hitting stuff with shiny sticks after all....nothing too hard

*runs from the legions of irate drummers with no sense of humour*

Wee Mac McDrums

Yeah, it's real easy, we only play the one note!!!! and we do it standing still(ish)
greenfairy

Ah but do you play it in tune?
Quasijock

Always in tune but definitely gets quicker.
Wee Mac McDrums

I always play in tune with myself, as it's not my fault the rest of the band can't keep up with my "bright" tempo!!!!
kazza

Looks like I made it!

Hi all you Neptune anoraks. Just trying this out so here goes.
Wee Mac McDrums

Welcome Kazza to the seedy world of online p*ss taking and general nonsense!!!!
Quasijock

Hi Kazza,
Welcome to the wierd world of bandie foruming; Why not introduce yourself to everyone and say Hi. We're really a friendly bunch in here
Wee Mac McDrums

Yeah, somtimes were even friendly during rehersals!!!! (but we talk about everybody behind thier back, you'll love it here) but then there was this one time, at band camp, that I wished I played the trombone.......
Wee Mac McDrums

And before you start Steve,

Yes, I've been to the beer church (Rhu Inn, Live band, Crap, Loud and very unmusic-like)

No, I still can't spell!!!!!!!!
