Flares

Cracking night out and I'm not even slightly tipsy.

We really ought to go dancing more often!
greenfairy

I think I'm dying.

Those who went to Uxbridge know how badly I cope with being tired

Thank gods I've got the afternoon off from work!
Apricot

I feel rough, and I didn't even make it to Flares!! :-(
A

Good job I can have a nap before Ed gets here, he might not like his zombiefied girlfriend!
greenfairy

I'm sitting at work with a can of Irn-Bru waiting for 12.15 when I can go home!
admin

What has drinking got to do with 70s trousers?
A

Don't tell me you've never been to Flares Deli my love!!!!

It's an experience and a half!
admin

I've been in flares many a time, also drainpipes and novelty clown shorts. I didn't find my flares or any of my other leg attire an experience or a half, I should try tighter pants for that I assume waaaaaaahhhhhhhhh

I don't think it's meant to be 70s trousers Rab, but most probably 70/- Trousers. The ones you wear when you $hit yerself after drinking the 70/- foaming ale.
Hornblower

Sprog!

Try the 80/-

Believe me, it's far better. (IMHO)
bootybandy

Couldn't afford it..
RAB

......glad to se the old humour glands are in full flow chaps....(says Rab in a very gentle, non-aggressive voice)...
Hornblower

Waaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh MFHO.

Good man Rab - I like the new/old you
Pompey Rich

1970's. Brilliant music and some not so brilliant fashions.
windypipes

I agree, 70's weekend at Butins - now that brought back some memories!
bootybandy

What, like Lime Green Satin Flares and an Afghan Coat......
windypipes

Thats the one!

Why are you still wearing them then? Wahhhhhhhhhhhh
Pass me an all nighter old chap my vespa seems to have a flat
Pompey Rich

As you saw last night dear old chap. I may have been wearing some of my socialising scootering attire but I certainly was NOT wearing flares
bootybandy

Would that be the Ben Sherman shirt with the RAF roundel(Target) on the back Pompey? or maybe the fur edged parker??
Pompey Rich

No No No No No
bootybandy

I'll take that as a Negative then.......Waaaaaahhhhhh

Why windy....have you been telling un-truths about your age if you have memories about the 70's.....
MrJpig

Who recognises the bandmaster wearing the black suit with flares??

Siegfried

...not forgetting the heels..kinell.
windypipes

No Ants my dear, I just remember the repeats.......

Pompey Rich

Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah. Brilliant photo. Looks like Deli last month. Typical biker.
Pompey Rich

Also take a look at the old boy with the flat cap to the left of the picture. Some fashions never change and they never will.

Judging by the Band uniform (or lack of in some cases), I don't think he's Welsh...

It says July 1975 on the side of the Piccy Andy, but I've not got a Scooby of who that looks like?
MrJpig

Cheers Botty never noticed that
Hornblower

Blimey - Brian's spotted someone he doesn't know!

There's a first...
Hornblower

...especially as I think I know who it is!

Gooood one!!!
windypipes

So getting the thread back on track......

Flares again this week?
bootybandy

Back off track. So who do you think it is then HB.??
Hornblower

Wot if I were to tell you I've been sworn to secrecy by one of our number?
windypipes

Awww go on , tell us

Ahhh, I feel much better after a full night of sleep. Flares on Monday was good, being proposed to was odd, and the dancing was amazing (buttercup is a legend!)
greenfairy

Can't say that going out on a Monday will ever be anything I want to do again particularly - even with me being boring and going home early!

Bed > Flares (even with buttercup's awesome dance moves)
A

It was a bit empty but my Heffalump made up for that!
greenfairy

Heffalump = so awesome!

Don't go going out and having lots of fun tomorrow night without me or I'll cry

I'm all bouncy cos I just booked 2 tickets for the IMAX next Saturday. Bro & me are going to see 300 after we've been to the footie at Wembley - days don't get much more fabulous than that!
A

Tomorrow night I'll be going home and safely tucking myself up in bed like the good little girl that I am.
greenfairy

And I'll be hoping Gerry wants to take me and tuck me up in his bed like the bad girl that I am
Apricot

well he was on your bus tonight

Flares - fantastic, but oh so dodgy! loved it (but not the lack of sleep - I was so going home at midnight, not half past very late as it turned out to be, next time lets make it a weekend party)

It's a sign! Well maybe not

I agree with the next time it has to be a weekend for going out as well!
Apricot

saturday after the concert? That's a weekend...
greenfairy

I was going to say "I'm up for it" but people will take that the wrong way

Could be a plan though
Apricot

*big grin* might have to go home and change first though as I don't want to be accused of being a police woman again cos I'm wearing my band rig *not that there's anything wrong with being a police woman she hastily adds*
A

I'll be going to the aftershow party of La Belle Helene straight after the gig.
windypipes

Outing after the concert on Saturday would be ok?

Curry etc etc
Caretaker

windypipes

Apricot

Do we have to involve curry?

Shame on you A for leaving us in favour of studenty types!!!
A

Hornblower
