Frank Scanes is alive and wellHello all! It seems that rumours of Frank Scanes' demise were exaggerated.
After 'A' posted a notice of Frank's death in the obituaries topic on this forum, Graham (Collingwood bandy) called Mrs S to offer the band's condolences... and Frank himself answered the phone! Frank will be at band tonight as usual.
May I suggest we all check our facts before putting important notices, such as obituaries, on the forum!

It seems the message I got was wrong, it is Mick Kirrane who has passed away.
I'm incredibly sorry for any upset caused.
The funeral for any who want to go is at 1130 on Thursday St Josephs in Copnor.
I am so so sorry, I got told the wrong person by someone who got two clarinettists confused.

I do feel terrible, I am so so so sorry.
I'm also devastated about Mick, he was the nicest person there.
Please forgive me I was told the information by someone I trusted to get it right.

You're not alone General - we at Collingwood are still chuckling (including our very own "Lazarus")!
Don't worry 'A', nobody thought you'd done it deliberately, and there's no harm done.

just when i bugger off all the fun starts happening... THink, if Frank had 'passed on' i would have been able to see the conductor more clearly.. or just see him at all perhaps..

but I meant I could have seen the conductor if I still sat where I used to sit and Frank wasn't there and assuming that Laura or someone else didn't move into his seat!

Erm, ok. Think I'm still with you. Dreadful news about the CP, though. Hope your hip flask is big enough to cope!
