There are are lots of different ones for other instruments too!
To think I spent years practicing scales and developing my embouchure.... well no, actually I just fumbled about until I reached the level of "mediocre"!
So, with three weeks to go to Cologne, I will order a set of these, learn to play sax, clarinet, etc in my sleep and then if anyone goes sick I can leap in and take their place!
Quasijock

Bagpipes-(noun)-I understand the inventor of the bagpipes was inspired when he saw a man carrying an indignant, asthmatic pig under his arm. Unfortunately, the man-made object never equalled the purity of sound achieved by the pig.

-Alfred Hitchcock

How many pigs are going to Koln?
ZedHorn

what a load of sackbutts....
Axl

You could go out and waste your money on this, or you could just be born fantastic. I advise the latter. It's cheaper and quicker.

Bob & Axl: fan -fekin - tastic !!

So you don't think this self-hypnosis thing will work then?..... Damn.
Oh well - good job I didn't buy that set of bagpipes off eBay either!
greenfairy

No one is going to complain when someone doesn't buy bagpipes, that's for sure!
Gromit

Shall I take my practice chanter to Koln, so we can all play in the block ..... no ..... ah go on ........
Big Ted

Bagpipes!!!!

Now then boys and girls............bagpipes are nice............honest!!!!

They have caused me to visit places I've only dreamed of.........met people who I continue to love to this day.

As for quasijock.......how can someone with jock in their name hate the bagpipes.

So come on....lets all practice Highland Cathedral............only a few days to go now.

For those going to Cologne..........lets practice being nice to pipers........and especially drummers

Big Ted
ZedHorn

Is that the Cornish tartan Gromit?
And a Welsh daffodil in your buttonhole?  Very multi-cultural!
But shouldn't your furry purse dangle around the front?
Big Ted

Corr!!!!!

Gromit

Are you wearing this for fancy dress in Cologne.......corrr!!!! Wow!!!

I must invite you to play.......somewhere!!!!

BobW - as a drummer you dont wear your furry dangly thing at the front of your kilt because your drum would cause your furry dangly thing to cause damage to your furry dangly thing................if you get my drift (for female exclude dangly)

Have I said too much..........provided too much information................thats cider for you my lovelys

Big Ted
ZedHorn

I never knew that!! very informative!!

I didn't know you could get sporrans in the shape of border collies!

Was it from the same shop that you buy edible underwear, if so then I don't think that's how you're meant to wear it.

Yes - A lovely heavy weight Cornish tartan, however the photo was taken in 2005 and I have lost 3 stone sine then so I had to sell the kilt    The furry purse is on the p*** to make room for the drum  - it was too much hassle to feed it through the loops  and swish it back round.
I was in Edinburgh with Sonya and Katie raising money for Marie Curie, hence the daffodil.
