Hello there!Gromit here (AKA Gilly Willy from Heron). I'm a tad hung over as a certain French Horn player MADE me do a gig last night wearing a camel pack full of rum & coke - cracking gig Zed!! 
Not sure who you all are so looking forward to meetings, greetings & Mess beatings!!!!

Not quite yet SF.
I'll find out if the seat's mine in December - but I have just discovered that whilst I'm in the principal's chair I'll be playing Tchaikowski's 4th Symphony - once again in the Symphony Hall Birmingham.
Has the RMB played a concert in there yet? If so, you'll know how utterly brilliant it is to play in. No matter where you sit, you can hear every single instrument of the orch.

Gilly actually plays the camelpac to a v high standard.
It's incredible what you can do with a staplegun and some black maskers!!

I'm a tenor horn player but there is no room for all that brass band nonsense so young Wrighty has got me on cornet.
I should have joind this site years ago as I have had such a giggle already (cheers Zed, yet another good idea). Speaking of which - for those of you who were worried that the camel pack meant being out of rig - Zed has cunningly sewn the VB epaulettes on to the straps in a strategic position so the only way you know it's there is when my playing improves.
