Hello

Hello,

I'm a 26 years old boy and I'm from Switzerland. I like the music of the Royal Marines Bands. It's why I'm here !

I asked a question in the "The Coffee Boat" forum. I hope it's the good place....

See you later.

Thanks for your warm welcome. I'm a cornet player, in a wind band (and not in a "Harmony" (Harmonie in french) like I said to a woman at the MFM last week.....

I hope reading these posts will increase my english

Hello Phil and welcome to the madhouse.

If there are any words on here you have trouble with don`t be afraid to ask.

You will see a bit of slang and the occasional conundrum .......that`s normal I`m afraid.

Hello !

Dear townsergeant, yes, we eat Toblerone in our country ! This is not my favourite chocolate, and I don't eat it often.

For those who don't know what is Toblerone, it's chocolate which has a triangular shape http://www.toblerone.ch/index-fr.html.

How do you know Toblerone ?? Is there Toblerone in England ???

It's a love it or hate it chocolate, I guess? There is Toblerone in England. You tend to see huge bars of it in Airport 'Duty Free' shops and on the Cross Channel Ferries.

Give me a bar of Galaxy anyday!

Hmm very hard question... there are no good or bad chocolate. It depends what you like.

My favourite is black chocolate ! The maximum percentage of cocoa it has, the best it is...

I also like milky chocolate. Hmmm.

I you want a brand, you can taste Lindt or Cailler !

I don't like very much chocolate with nuts inside. And in the other side, I like chocolate with marzipan. "Merci" chocolate are very good !!!

Yes, there are people who don't like toblerone and other who eat every day... I didn't noticed that there was Toblerone in the Duty free shops in the airport. I'll open my eyes next time I go in England !

Any chance of making any of them remotely funny in future then Billy?
2nd Clarinet

.
Swiss guy, looking for directions, pulls up at a bus stop where two Englishmen are waiting. "Entschuldigung, können Sie Deutsch sprechen?" He asks.
The two Englishmen just stare at him.
"Excusez-moi, parlez-vous français?"
The two continue to stare.
"Parlate italiano?" No response.
"Hablan Ustedes espagnol?" Still nothing.
The Swiss guy drives off, extremely disgusted.

The first Englishman turns to the second and says: "Y'know, maybe we should learn a foreign language…"

"Why?" says the other, "that bloke knew four languages, and it didn't do him any good."

I've heard that Toblerone Vodka is pretty damn nice !!!!

What's the recipe ?

BTW - Hi Philoum ! and welcome.

On reflection, this probably is not the best place to learn English, but come back often and fill yer boots.

The only Phil I know in Suisse is Phil Collins.

Oh well, back to the Vodka. (I can't fit this triangular blob of choc through the neck).

Point taken Ffoggers.. Next time I visit I'll bring flat pack Toblerone....
FFoglamp

Waaaaaaaaaaaahhh ! no, Rab it needs to be thin and cylindrical. Maybe Matchmakers Vodka would be easier.
