Baby Bug

Heya

Hi everyone,

My name is Amy Rushton (Nee. Clark). I joined up as a Bugler in troop 1/00 when I was 16 (Baby)..... Dodgey knee put me outside 4 years ago, still waiting for my operation!

Now I'm a music student, studying clarinet performance, but I've married a solo cornet player (RMSM) so I'll never get away.....

Nice to meet you all

Amy

Ye gads, can't we ever get rid of you? Bugle to clarinet, does that make you a bandy now Music without the BFT, gas chamber etc etc; a good move then!
Nice to see you back Amy and good luck for the operation...

Bandy.....

Well I suppose it does mean that I've committed 'treason' against the 'thin red lines'!! Get more gigs on the liquorice stick though!!! Whether I'd call myself a bandy - that's debatable.......

I'm told the civvy musician has a phrase:
"No dough; no blow" goes along the lines of Cash up front
Pusser

Or, as Geoff Truss would say, "No notes, no notes!"

I'll remember that one!

Amy is an ex Bugler who went outside and is now a Musician at a university learning her trade. She is married to an RM Musician though!
The band still do BFTs, mili trainng and APWTs plus all are now FA2 (First aid) trained.

Students at Portsmouth University doing BFTs :smt046 That's like a reunion without beer

Still a good drummer?

You are more than welcome to come and join HMS Nelson RNVB Corps Of Drums anytime. I think you would be very pleasantly surprised at the standard we have reached. Festival drumming champions for the past four years with full marks and also very possitive comments from RM buglers ranks can't be too bad can it. I believe we tried to get you to join before but you had already joined the RM Band Service. I hope your operation goes well and good luck. Don't forget, you will be made more than welcome.

Best Wishes, Rich Pitman.
