Hmmmm, a Haynes manual for a drum?
It doesn't show how to remove the alarm clock from inside though! Perhaps Dolly should write an annexe.

Thanks, Deli. Bet they're so old now that we do struggle to tune them and they are literally falling to bits. I sincerely hope we can replace them in the not too distant future.

Thanks Deli, much appreciated - just have to try and get some new drums for the bands as most of ours are a bit mmmmm.....past it!

Most still have the old style bottom snares and some are so old they only have a bottom snare.

Some more do's and don'ts people:-

1) When going to Koln - make sure you pick up your own drum with 2 snares and not an old single snare type (Me - tw@t!!)

2) Don't try and fit HTS style kevlar skin and tighten as much as you can - this will warp your shell, strip the threads on the bolts and warp your top ring! (LWEA McCleary - HMS Collingwood - named and shamed as he is now a CDR).

3) Don't leave your drum in the boot of a black Opel Manta on the hottest day in Norwich as this makes your drum all wobbly (LWEA ??????? - plays in 'the scottish band!)

4) When taking your drum on a bus - do not leave it on it's side in the aisle unattended as this will make it roll down the bus and out of the door at traffic lights (see 3)

5) When picking up your drum ALWAYS check inside for alarm clocks, blankets or mobile phones as these are difficult to remove just prior to marching off (oh no - the mobile phone was in the bass drum - did Sonia ever get a new phone off the bandy??)
