how awesome, literally stumbled across this place last night!!! need a gig here for sure.. it's somewhere in Bristol, not sure exactly where... would struggle to find it again most probably

didn't look like the kind of establishment that would be up for parting with cash or free beers but hey... I'll give it a go! Have found out where it in now.. let's see if the Heron crew are up for a trip to Brizzle....

If The Volunteer is the same one I knew - it's down by the Docks - not far from the Bristol Old Vic...Pubs have the names changed so much now - I'm not sure..

my point seigers is that "one" could really ditch the 6th and 7th words of that quote... no-one else compares... apart form the massed vollies obviously!! but you know, perfection is the enemy of good...

ah Zed I agree...about perfection...however, during my time in the Corps..i do not think perfection was ever achieved...but we always strove for it. Working hard for perfection keeps one focussed.....where an attainment of perfection ..unless that state can be maintained leads to complacency...which is a swift transition to mediocrity....so strive in all your musical endeavours..perfection will be close....but.. not quite within reach....
