Message From Nelson Corps Of Drums

We would like to thank everybody for their kind support before and after our successful day at the RNVB festival yesterday. We have been overwhelmed by comments from other volunteer bands and Musicians and Buglers from HMRM Band Service. I would also like to personally congratulate the other members of the drum section for their time, dedication, and a brilliant display in the Guildhall Square. But if you think yesterday was hard, just wait and see what's lined up for next year. There's gonna be some awesome stick drill my boys.
Once again, thankyou one and all.

I don't know what was best though - the drum display or Rich's skanking at the p!ss up

The skanking!!!!!!!!!!!
Astradyne

I'm still aching from the skanking - I'll never walk again!
greenfairy

I don't think I've ever had an evening like that - I sang to the Wurzels, skanked, threw shapes to Vienna and did YMCA.

Quality!
Apricot

I was trying to remember which song we did the robotics to earlier, thanks GF

VIENNA?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!

Typical! They always bung a good tune on after I'm gone, the swines!

So what other New Romantic tunes did they play after we left?
greenfairy

You're ok, was only that one.

Did I not say this already

Well after the festivities of last week I've been whisked off to sea (currently bobbing around 200 miles west of Scotland) but besides all that well done to Rich,Paul and the rest of the team - we (Drake) were pipped at the post but these things happen (sigh) and considering we only got together the week before the festival just shows that the KISS strategy must get you somewhere (that's Keep it simple stupid and NOT kiss the judges )

Ah well there's always next year - who fancies a massive COD display next year at the end of the marching as opposed to the pipers getting on twice???? Answers on a postcard to Rich in Pompey or myself

All the best

I must say that I was impressed with the reports of SEAHAWK, 2 drums and 2 cymbals! Excellent effort on thier part and they should be commended!
Pompey Rich

Dolly. If you think I'm gonna kiss any of the judges especially the Corps Drum Major then think again.
Co-admin

You don't have to kiss him, he accepts all major credit cards or cash.
