Not really sure of the year but think its around the 1968/1969 time. May have got the Neptune House bit wrong because, if memory serves, it looks like we are mixed up with Gloucester.
Whatever..........added some names to this one.

Hi Pusser!
How's the leg now? We were talking just before you did it if you remember. Is the wife having another go next month at the Challange?

That was a while ago, she cracked it (Endurance Course not my leg) in February 2000 racking up nearly £2K in sponsorship. Nice of you to ask. As it happens it aches somethin' terrible in the cold damp winters!
Still, gotta laugh. All those times on Woodbury wishing for some sort of Divine Intervention just to get off the damned place and, years later as a spectator, I slip and..........................
Careful what you wish for!

Don't think your years are right Pusser!
All of this lot were before my time and maybe even before Rab's!! (Shock horror! )
Mick Spros had already left and so had Merv Hyatt by the time I got there in Sept 1969 - taking 'Senior House' into the equation, I think it's more like 1967/68?
But you would know, you're the one in the picture!!

You could be right. I joined September '67. In New Entries we did not have flashes on our epaulets (did we?) and since we all have in the phot I assumed it to be '68 or on.
I doubt it is '67 since me and Mr Bullock have lost that look of dumb abject fear much associated with pre-inspection terror and have established the 'parade ground stare' of resigned acceptance.
Memoirs The chap to 'Jock's' right went outside before he finished training, I think and the small fellow behind Mr Bullock's left shoulder always emptied the entire contents of the pepper pot over his scran in the galley. The galley...........three huge metal sinks where you washed, rinsed and sterilised with a layer of grease your mug and KFS!

Looking at the picture I always thought that the Buff belt was far smarter than the newer plastic one. Yes I know they were a pain to paint, and that brasses use to stain them very easily, but they just sat well with the brasses. (For Bass and Euph player, delete brasses and insert string!)
