its great, the weather is lovely out there at the moment. You have to go round the old town (Gamla stan) and maybe go out on a boat road round the islands, you can pick up a boat from the harbour in the town centre
if you are staying in stockholm city get the fast train down as it is alot cheaper

Getting to the Old town is easy. Take the airport express and then you can walk from there....
If you are staying in Upsala for a couple of days you can get a local train....their system is really easy to use.
