Bad News

Heya guys, just thought I'd put out a little warning to everyone. Unfortunately thedrummer from the RMSoM can't make the gig on Saturday. Neil has asked me to stand in. I wanted to say right now that I'm so sorry for the noise and the cock-ups, but please bare with me. Its not my first choice either. See everyone tomorrow

A now very shy and nervous Nish

You will be fine!
ZedHorn

I`m not suprised you are nervous....drumming in the nude should make for an interesting paradiddle
greenfairy

Nish hun, you're a better drummer than any of the rest of us so don't worry!

Just leave the bag of spanners at home

Anyway, a good rehearsal tonight and you'll do fine! See you Saturday medear
Hornblower

Break a leg Nish!

Here's a wee mantra that used to get me through many a gig...

Right or wrong - nail it to the wall!

Go for it M8, what's the worst that can happen?
Nish

Crikey, imagine a mis-hit in the nude!!! AAAhhhhhhhhhh, not pleasant, best do it clothes on then, even if the paradiddle isn't quite as interesting!

He he

MrJpig

Nice one mate.....good luck with the gig.....remember this..You`ll be the best drummer there!!
Apricot

No worries Nish you'll be fine, we'll all be behind you (or should that be in front seeing as the drummer is always at the back of the band!!)
Pompey Rich

Don't worry, mate. If you ain't sure what to play just do McAlpine cos' you've mastered that one nicely.
Nish

Cheers Rich. He he, I'll try and squeeze that and Wee Mac in there somewhere.
Siegfried

MrJpig said 'paradiddle' - hmm - never heard it called that before..
MrJpig

I bet a few had one just before their first jump
Siegfried

HAHAHAHAHA - you lil rascal you...nice one !

(..wish I'd thought of it..)
Hornblower

Very refined laughter you have there Seigfried!

No wonder you have such a refined taste in your prediliction for all things mellow and horny...

Siegfried

HAHAHAHA - ET TU BRUTE (SPELLING..?)

...but unlike you, I am unable to play a French Horn -

but I have been there...

...That'll confuse some of 'em...
Hornblower

Me too - you Brute!

PS there's nothing rong wiv my swelling...
Apricot

Hey Nish you did great last night - except for the

*dramatic silent pause by band for drum solo*

silence then "I'll learn that bit by saturday"

*giggles all round again*

Oooh, I forgot about that! Well done Nish - break a leg for tomorrow.
Nish

Thanks chaps, some bits went better than others, but hey ho, I will try and learn some solos for Saturday. I had such a headache after rehearsal! Oh to just be playing the cornet! Never have I longed so much for such a short little excuse for a trumpet.

Looking forward to getting tomorrow over and done with.
Apricot

At least there weren't any spanners involved last night *grin*

and we can go out after the gig to help you recover afterwards. you'll be fine
Hornblower

Sounds good to me Nish!

You should play the drums all the time!!!
Nish

Well, if it meant I could rehearse then all would be well, its just the whole pressure sight-reading which is a tad stressful, but hey ho. Lol
greenfairy

Ach you'll do fine hun
A

You'll be fine Nish my dear! Honestly you will!!!!
ANTS

you'll be fine mate...

you sounded good at rehearsal.....
windypipes
