Countdown to America has started!

Just thought id start a thread about our wonderful trip to America yet to come.
Apricot

Blimey you're eager, we still have 26 full days count-down to go!
Astradyne

25 now.
admin

24 in the morning!
greenfairy

*starts deciding what shoes to take*
windypipes

Just shoes??

Or are you going to take clothes as well?
greenfairy

Packing clothes is easy enough as I've not got that much to choose from. However I have 15 pairs of shoes and I don't think I need to take all of them so it's going to take a while to decide which ones to pack.
ZedHorn

I've heard on the grapevine that you don't have shirts yet???? what the hell are you wearing??

have fun guys, do us proud!
Apricot

Thanks Zed, we intend to.

To carify we have our usual shirts but we hoping to get a spare each so one could be washed whilst the other is being worn (otherwise we'll be rather smelly by the end of the week!). Unfortunately there aren't any cos of all the recent deployments so we have been instructed to beg, borrow...

As for packing Windy, most girlies will tell you clothes just get packed to match the shoes. Deciding which shoes to take is always the difficult bit!
bootybandy

So what goes with Flop Flips and Trainers?
Astradyne

You think that's bad? I'm still deciding what shade of black clothes I'll be taking!
ZedHorn

you clearly haven't been in the band long enough astradyne... they should be a well and truly dry cleaned shade of grey by now!!!
ZedHorn

oh and Apircot, we did Gambia with 2 shirts each... and we still stank, travel wash and brown tap water in hotels really doesn't sort out post 2hr parade in 30+degrees mank on the colllar!! we had so much fun we didn't care by teh end of the week, the president still loved us...

HAPPY DAYS!!!!
Apricot

In my opinion...

Flip-flops with swimwear, shorts, long skirts, cropped trousers/jeans, jeans, towels
Trainers (depends what sort but) with trackies, combats, jeans, shorts

Can't think of any more at the moment, but I'm sure the girls will pick up if I've missed some out as the only flip-flops I own are strictly for beach use.

Of course it is all dependent on colour matching too so Astradyne won't have any issues there.
greenfairy

Well the green sparkly shoes are definately going
Apricot

Why am I not looking surprised at this relevation?
greenfairy

Cos you know they're the most comfortable shoes I own?

Apricot

*girly grin and wide eyes* sparkily oooooo
Quasijock

Time to find the No 1's again. Otherwise I just might get arrested. (No fun these Yanks)
RAB

OK Guys and Girls of course...

PLEASE.. Enjoy your USA Trip...

PLEASE ..Remember you represent The Royal Navy...

PLEASE... Come back with memorable runs ashore and stories.

PLEASE...If you are in any way related to HM RMB in USA....

Come back with at least loads of fags (the smokabletype), and as many paternal suits as you think you can provide for..(and that goes for the girlies as well)
Pompey Rich

OK drummers. Now you can concentrate on the USA trip. Lucky for you (Melvin again) we just about got away with the mess beatings last Wednesday. Enjoy yourselves in the States and just remember when you return, more gigs to perform then the festival. Priorities in future gents please!
tazwhit

ZedHorn

That's just to get her shoes there.....
greenfairy

Hey, I've narrowed it down to 6 pairs of shoes to take so
ZedHorn

good skills fairy... does that include you pussers shoes or not????
greenfairy

That's including my lovely lovely shiny pussers shoes (shined them up nicely while watching the Cup Final yesterday as I needed some excitement to keep me awake )

Now all that's left is to figure out what clothes I can take to go with the various shoes.....

Blimey this makes me sound really girlie when I'm not particularly

I think it's sort of text-speak Dan, - with a yank accent, either that or he escaped from Netley.

BTW what's the weather like there, I've got a colleague going out to Christchurch for an interview at Canterbury Uni. He's wondering what clothes to pack.

We're back (well mostly - I think the Neptune guys are still at Heathrow waiting for a connection back ooop north)

I'm sure you'll here more sometime but for now I'm off to get out of these clothes I've been travelling in for the last 28 hours or so and have a bath. Oh and sleep too (after I've seen to my blisters)

GF's initial reaction on the trip - was ok, had its ups and downs - and after hearing from those who went to Wembley I probably made the right choice.

Shutting up now....tooooooo tired
devildog946

im only 15 and thats a way of text in my teen world so yea
bootybandy

Seen Pirates 3 yet GF?
A

I hope I saw it first! Twas a brilliant film!
