Audition Result

Bonjour one and all. Just a quick note, I won't be around at rehearsal tonight as I have a friends birthday bash to attend. But, for all those who have been supporting me through audition process.....

I have been accepted as a Bugler in the Corps of Drums. I did audition on trumpet as well, but unfortunately was not offered a position due to being to tall and lanky for the violin (the instrument I would be required to learn). Nonetheless I am honoured to be offered a position and have received some very positive feedback from the audition week. I am very excited and have been given a provisional start date as the 3rd September. Thanks to all who provided advice and support. See you all soon.

Its all very exciting! All I can do now is give it my best and beyond, and hopefully I'll do the Corps proud.

Thanks again for people's help, and cheers to Deli and everyone 'inside' for your advice and faith.

The hard work isn't over, its only just begun!

You're right there Nish me ol' chum!

Bloody well done and all that, you've worked hard and listened good too, so I for one am really pleased for you - as are all others on this site.

2nd Sept I started and lasted very nearly 15 years - if it's what you want, I hope you last even as long as Deli!!! (And that's well longer than 15...)

Well, who knows, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't aiming for the top! But I know I have a long way to go first! But hey, a guy can set his sights nice and high, can't he? 'Drum Major', I'll be there one day!

I'll be back the the VB Ants, no worries, I still want to keep the old trumpet playing up too!
