Changing the subject, can anyone (who is coming to bandcamp, in case there are other pedants out there) get hold of some cyalume (spelling?) light sticks? Preferably the green ones as the others are rubbish.

Plug in lights are good (especially your fairy ones), but cyalumes are garunteed to not burn the tents down while we're at the pub, not burn our hands on the way to the toilets, and are provided (hopefully) by junglies free of charge.
As for the lecci, if it plugs in, feel free to bring it.

There are a dozen of us, with room for one more tent yet if anyone knows anyone who wants to come. i've had a couple of maybes, but none have confirmed.
I thought that the easiest thing to do would be to do a communal pot for camping fees and to buy tea, coffee, milk, bread, snorkers and aquapig for breakfast etc. As for ale etc, bring a crate (or whatever your tipple is) and we'll take it from there. Mac is bringing a gas stove, but the funky outside cooking thingy sounds a bit better.
Between Mac and I, we're also bringing a heater, a mozzie killing machine, a large outside groudsheet, a picnic table (with 4 seats), 3 clickie chairs, a windbreak/privacy screen and a huge pirate flag. If I've left something off the list, feel free to bring it yourselves!

PPI - Proton Pump Inhibitor = Inhibit gastric acid secretion by blocking the hydrogen-potassium adeosine triphosphatase system (The Proton Pump) within the Gastric Parietel Cell..............In English it reduces the amount of stomach acid, which is comon after a night on the beer (upset tum tum)

Enteric Coated = Sugar Coated - used so they achieve First Pass Metabolism ie drugs not being absorbed in the stomach, but waiting till they get to the duodenum

NSAIDs - Non Steroidal Anti Inflammatory Drugs - These rare predominantly used for musculoskeletal pain, but also have a naughty use for hangovers (though bad for you as they are a Non Selective Cyclo Oxygenase Inhibitor as opposed to a Selective one)

Rumour has it that due to presence of families with young kids on the camp site, the first complaint about noise coming from our intrepid campers was in by 8pm on Friday night!

Twas earlier than that, in fact Al started a log, but as only a first nighter I cant spill the beans..................but when I left at 1600hrs on Saturday we were up to 35!!!

I have survived band camp, Hoorah!!

It was a roaring success and a good time was had by all. No complaints about noise although we were told off about other things like driving too fast around the camp site ( Al! )

This Band Camp will be known as bubble fest I'm sure.

Crikey, what a weekend. Bring on the next one!

Some of the things I got told off for;
1) pitching my tent exactly where I was told.
2) not bringing musical instruments, especially bagpipes.
3) driving the wrong way round the one-way system. Understandable if the road was a loop, but it wasn't. It was just a road.
4) the wrong kind of electricity.
5) smoking outside.
There were more, but those were the best.

Yes, I got told off for speeding......twice, but for goodness sake, its a BMW - 5 miles per hour? What does that mean
I fell over - sober - yes sober - in a bloody large muddy puddle
I then made a grand entrance into my own tent doing a darned good impression of bambi on ice. As i laid licking my wounds on the floor of the tent, the only compassion from our resident Dr was......"I think you have broken my umbrella"

Well, found actually.
I have in my posession an air pump, brought back from bandcamp. It's the one we used to make the uber-bubbles. Does anyone want to claim it? Chrissie and SoppyGit were the only ones I know who brought one. I'll bring it to the festival to reunite it with the rightful owner.
