Weekenders, anyone??

Hello all Heronites... thinking I might pay you an extended visit next weekend.

Here's the gambit...

I'm on leave this week. Hoorah!
Debbie is till in plaster, so friends are somewhat limited. Booo!!
Thought I may come up t'ut' Yeovil area earlier than the planned rehearsal Sunday. Hoorah!
It means someone will have to put me up....

All those who shouted 'Hoorah!' report via reply if you have bedspace on Friday and Saturday...

All those who shouted 'Booo!'.... I know where you live...
dangerouspiper2

Dammit, I got space Sarah but I be a long ways from Heron. xx Dave
Princess Fiona

I've got a bed for you my love and would love for you to stay.  I'm not in Yeovil though about 15 miles out.   I'm sure we could sort something to go out and meet up with others though and there's always the local sights of Shepton! ( mainly sheep and pubs )

I'll send you my mobile number on facebook then you can let me know if you want to.
ZedHorn

you'd be welcome in Brizzle, but I'm working all weekend which sucks..
have a good rehearsal and warm up, I believe we are playing a very challenging medley of tunes that's going to need some particular attention to dynamics and expression, instant concert I think it's called.... or was it Hootenanny???
Sarah_Seahawk

Knew I could rely on you Marie! Fifteen - smishteen!!

Taxi on me! Line it up!!
Princess Fiona

Cool

I'll get some Bagpipe CDs in then we can do some proper Cologne training!

I'll round up some other Heronites for the Sat night if I can

Isn't that where they make the mallets? You could always visit the museum of wooden hammers through the ages!
Bobw

By the way:- Have you got a list of music for this concert?
It also looks like we are not playing at the music college any more, it appears to be some concert hall out near the airport.
Gromit

You are welcome to stay in Groms kennel in Yeovil:  you will be on the bed settee though and the flat is v small.
Axl

Barrow-in-Furness is nice at this time of year, and I've got a spare bed, but it is a bit far away at just over 300 miles.

small but perfectly formed Grom, and the bed is very comfy!!! perfect for running around in a silky nightie!!! and the bacardi fairy visits regularly.. thoroughly recommended!

But Sarah doesn't wear a silky nightie in bed, she normally wears ...... Damn, what a giveaway!
ZedHorn

and you know this how BobW?????
Axl

He asked me.
EMMA

Oh come on Axl Sarah in a silk nightie is no comparison to the Drake girls getting changed in the middle of Falmouth on that mini-bus that time!!!  Mind you thinking about it you didn't get much in the hat you were holding outside!
Princess Fiona

Bob I shall endeavour to get the music list for you tonight.
Bobw

Cheers, m'dear!
Sarah_Seahawk

Is everybody quite finished talking about my night-time attire??
Princess Fiona

Sorry Bob I've been sworn to secrecy!  Think Mandy wants to scare you all on sunday.

So anyone local on Saturday night that wants to join us is more than welcome and I have spare beds. One's that neither me or Sarah will be in!!

Sorry if that disappoints and I do wear silky nighties!

As far as I know there are no mallet museums in Shepton however there is a Cider Factory and a prison.  Who'd want anything more

bassdrumal

Bob, i am sure i have seen a music list..........................or was i hungover?

As for Sarah in a silk nightie - woiuldnt know, but to all those people out there who just dont plain believe it.....she has worn a dress and i have pics to prove it !!  Erm, not in bed i hasten to add, not that i'd know......hold on, think i have seen her in a dress twice!!  Or was i drunk and seeing double?
Bobw

Yes Al, but that was the general music list (shouldn't that be an admiral music list in the navy?). We play that stuff every year and I still can't get the quaver runs in Semper Fid! Or the twiddly bass bits in Eagle Squadron. Or play Domstädter or Heidewitzka from memory, in the dark, going down stairs. Or play Eb Bass in general ....... (or admiral even!).
I was after the music for the concert on the friday evening - I am hopeless at sight-reading as well.
Well, you can't accuse me of being over self-confident!
bassdrumal

Aww Bob, i held you in such high esteem, thought you only had the music for the look and actually you knew everything off by heart.  My illusion shattered!!
ZedHorn

stocked up on your tights yet BobW???

Princess Fiona

Sarah_Seahawk
