The Modern Volunteer Band?HMS Tenedos Volunteer Band
Not much has changed really......Scary solo cornets, dwarf euphoniums and funny tubas

They're never going to fit in that Wendy House, even if they ALL kneel down.

So how many of them in phot have you served with Quasi?

What is the instrument on the floor (deck) on the right? It seems to have a big stick so it must be percussion?
And why have the cymbals got chunks bitten out of them?

Me thinks Ms Berry did not play in this band... at least they seem to have brought their cymbals along - chunks out and all!!!

On the other hand, they look like hairy bikers, so maybe she did.

The cymbals were known as BOOMERANGER CYMBALIA and the instrument on the deck is a prototype modern day (then) rack, probably for stretching VBI's

No, no.... it's a machine for stretching bagpipes to get them in tune. As you will all correctly recognise this machine is now no longer in manufacture and no original versions can be found... bugger!

Zed is not entirely correct. That machine is no longer in production, but there is a cheaper modern equivalent. It's called a chainsaw. It's quicker, permanent, and actually sounds better when tuning bagpipes than the pipes themselves!

Behave, you had been so kind to bagpipes earlier in the year, I knew it was too good to be true.............as a consequence I've eaten all the birthday cakeage!!!!!
