greenfairy

I guess maybe I should start packing then......nah, who am I kidding, it'll be done tomorrow afternoon in a rush as always!

I still haven't figured out if I'm excited or scared yet....but I'm sure will enough beer I'll just settle for happily pished
Bobw

Too busy practicing all this damn music that I can't play!!!!!!
Big Ted

2 Days to go!!!!

Who said one day to go!!!!!!!!!!!!...............went into blind panic....................but then realised, I've still got two days to go!!!!!

Alas we cant go as pirates, wont allow our cutlasses on the plane, but we will be there!!

So to all band colleagues have a great coach journey, I will think of you, cramped up in a coach, trying desperately to sleep, whilst singing about dangling whatsits in the dust, whilst drinking and general debauchery, whilst I'm asleep in my own bed, ..................I now where I would prefer to be......oh the debauchery and drink!!!

See you in Koln, have a Kolch or two ready for me!!!

Big Ted
bassdrumal

I shall take that as an order and carry it out to the letter.
greenfairy

Does anyone know the best way to get black shoe polish out of a white shirt? I kinda had a bit of an accident with an exploding tube of polish.....
The BB's

Finished work. now must start packing and then forget all the things I should have remembered and then find I didn't really need them
Koln, Koln, kolsch, kolsch

easy - get No2 to get you a new shirt!!!
greenfairy

No.2 is back being musical (well technically on military training this week *snarf*

Stain remover is becoming my new friend. I'm down to having faint grey smudges all over my shirts after a LOT of scrubbing *sigh*

I need a drink

Tube of polish??? Tube...??????

I remember my first day of basic training at RAF Swinderby. If the Corporal Drill Instructor found any polish other than a tin of Kiwi in your locker it went out of the window, he screamed obscenities at you with his face only inches from yours for a couple of minutes then sent you down to the NAAFI at the double to buy the real thing! Those were the days!

As for getting it off a shirt? I don't know.

You could do the normal military thing and swap it with someone else's when they aren't looking! Make sure you get the right size though.
Bobw

GF, you could try asking Gromit. She is a stores-basher at Heron so should have contacts to blag a new shirt, or she may find one in Dave Wright's uniform store in the bandroom.
greenfairy

I think I've just about got it out.  The irony is that I wasn't using that particular polish anyway - that's what my tin of parade gloss is for.

I guess they don't call me Little Miss Accident-Prone for nothing

Now, where's that drink.....
Bobw

You just spilt it all over your fancy dress!
greenfairy

Nah, I'm saving that trick for when we're there!
Princess Fiona

I've just finished work, hooray that's it for a week and a half, well my normal work, we're hardly going to be relaxing by a pool

On the theme of shirts, I've just got a load in a smaller size and realise I can't get my thermals underneath or breathe as the collar's so tight!!

Think I'm definately going to need a hand ( or two ) to keep me warm

Tube of polish??? Tube...??????

I remember my first day of basic training at RAF Swinderby....Blah blah blah remember the Mongolfier brothers in nappies blah blah blah trained up Orville and Wilbur blah blah blah told Icarus not to do that blah blah blah

ZZZZZzzzzzz x

I'm on my way. 100 miles done, 220 to go. I say 100, but after 10 I realised I'd left my ID behind, so I've done 120 now due to a slight detour. I'm in Heron at 1300ish and I'm changing my shirts. (Not due to a polish accident, I'm an idle git who can't be bothered scrubbing.) Where is slops?
greenfairy

Erm, shirt size.....the bigger the better!  Well not huge but big enough to get layers under at least.

Or I could just buy some Tippex......

Greehfairy - you will probably be on the bus by now travelling up (but it's the thought that counts) - Dave will dig out some shirts from the dressing up cupboard.  I don't have time to go to slops as it's over the other side.  See you drekly. xx
Sarah_Seahawk

Right! You've all stood in my way long enough!

I'm gonna start packing!
greenfairy

I'm almost done packing. The shirts have come out ok....only a few light grey splodges on the back but if I can get a nice shiny white one to wear instead I'll be more than happy.

You guys rock...see you later!

Sarah_Seahawk

GF! Don't ruin a shiny new shirt! Are you planning on taking your jacket off...? Trust me (there's a phrase to get used to!) it 's not worth it!!

See you soon... xxxx
ZedHorn

ZedHorn

Both!!! does that count as multi-tasking?
bassdrumal

In your case....absolutely
You need some more training in true multitasking though, perhaps I could help you!?
Axl

Isn't this another case of wrong thread? Unless it's one day left until something else? One day left until tuesday? One day left until GF has completed two days in her new job? One day left one day right until it's today? One day I'll be funny?
