Straight No Chaser Do Pompey!

Bung it in your diaries, people - the slightly smaller (14-piece as opposed to the normal 18-piece) Straight No Chaser Big Band are doing an afternoon gig in Guildhall Square this Sunday (23rd) from 1pm to 4pm.

Give us your support and maybe we could do more gigs over this way.

I'm sure you'll have plenty of people watching... are there any other acts or entertainment? What is the event?

Do we get extra points if we hit you with fruit?

Give us a reminder nearer the time (memory like a holey bucket here) and I'll wander along to heckle

No, and it's not open air porn either. Though we are being paid handsomly for the gig - about 25% of what a boob augmentation costs.

Ants, you ae coming to see us, all being well (fingers crossed) - shame you're not playing this one as I know how much you were looking forward to it. I'll see you tomorrow evening at Bishop Otter around 10ish.

I think a lot of people will watch more out of curiousity than anything else. Njoy..

Note the change of time - it's 1pm to 4pm.

Just hope the weather is much cooler for this gig.

If I have time and I remember I might pop along for a bit

No No No! You can't play this weekend out of respect to me. I'm at work all day in a boiling hot concrete box protecting you all from evil people. But never mind about managers. We also have to keep inmates banged up.

I wish I'd stayed awake. Plus I've been convinced it's Saturday most of the day.

Considering we were short of a few players (and let down by the lead tenor player!) it all went very well - the place was packed from what I could see.
