Much as I very very very very much want to go again I can't make the decision one way or another til I start uni at the end of the month and get a fair idea of what my timetable will be like.
Or do I just pencil in a flu-bug for that week?

i may have succeeded in being able to go, it was a bit of an extreme way to sort it out but i may be able to go, whats the best way to bribe a SurgCDR to let me have time off to go.

Better still... take photos and photoshop them. Much cheaper, requires less effort and cunning and you can have them in any scenario that YOU want!

for the heronites, just had a weird meeting onboard a german ship on which i have just played, one of the officers onboared was Lief, and he very much would like like to go to Cologne Carnival next year, if one of you vey nice people (Zed, Auntie Grom or Princess F) could speak to Tim, and mention him, he is prepared to make his own way to Cologne but all he requires is a letter requesting his presence during the carnival, if this is possble then can you get the letter and email to me and i can pass it on to Lief and his bosses. no, he is currently the pilot on the brandenberg, which is a german frigate doing BOST at the moment, but for him to be able to go he requires a letter from Tim requesting him otherwise hos skipper wont let him go, he's told me that he will meet us there so there is no need to arrage transport for him.

At Heron, we can sign up till 28th of November.
That means i have just more than a month to concince my CO to grant me leave during for Koln...
