Hi David,
I certainly can't help you in your quest, but I can extend a big welcome to you from "down under". I hope that you enjoy your time on here as much as I have.
Cheers.
Maurie.

That's very kind of you Maurie, but as a 'foreigner' - once my task is finished,it must be time to move on - as I am neither a Musician.RM - nor a Diplomat...

Having failed at both...

Steady on - haven't gone JUST yet - waiting to speak with El Colonel first, rude not to..

Thanks MJ - you still training MJ? Spending ALL that BEER money in a GYM..? Walk (if you must with trainers) and get onto a running track (college/school/wherever) Get the times you'll need to match, from one of the guys on site. In one month you should be able to do it in a blink.

To be serious - and quick - load a bergen up with 35lbs (weigh it) and tab for 2miles first week - 5 miles 2nd week - 10 miles 3rd week, until your time is 1 hour 45 mins. Then you will pass.

A 10miler is a b'stard - but its benefits will be - your diaphragm will be in its best shape for many a day - and your tootling will improve.

Get a grip mate - and just DO IT - when you have passed, you should keep up the 2 or 5 miler - why? - cos it gets much needed oxygen up into the brain and helps the Muses to do their work - as in a new Composition for the Band, entitled ''The Auditioners Angst"...

All the Best - PASS !!!

Aha! - Volunteer = Volly...and you be a Wimmins too,sans doubt...

Thank you for the reference to the HMS Nelson thread...I will respond to that on another Topic,as I have thoroughly hi-jacked this one...
Apologies Admin (or whoever..) Zephania/Zuleika Horn, catch you on 'SIEGFRIED...'

Hi David. This is a belated welcome, from a busy person, who has been "off" line for a week. Just caught up on your thread here, and would also like to say don't go running away to other forums when this is the one with the most fun. So, the general plea is to stay and join in with us lot.

Felix = ex RMB percussionist (not volly or civvie etc)
