OK chaps, by popular demand I'll try and sort this weekend away. I'll nominate a (local) volunteer to help me once we've decided where we're going. Vote for where you'd like to go, but please do not automatically vote for your hometown. You can, but this is supposed to be a weekend away.
The plan is for tents, which will keep the cost around £30 for two people for two nights.
We could also investigate short-term MQ renting, but not sure about the costs. Spare beds at mates' houses will probably spread us out too much, unless someone owns a mansion. Hotels will probably be too pricey, and guesthouses will be impractible unless we all promise to be really quiet in the small hours!
If you have any other thoughts or ideas, PM me.

My vote is for Yeovilton and isn't there a campsite by the Halfway House pub that could be a useful idea???

There was a camp site there - but I think it was just for vans & the odd tent with no amenities??

Bye the way, I don't have any camping stuff - only a slug and a thermal mug.

I have a large 2-3 sleeper tent, so if there are any ladies needing accomodation, I'll look after you.

Dolly and I can't make it unfortunately - it's the weekend of Dean and Siran's wedding.

Have fun

It was wrong, despite him being in his nurse's outfit. And anyway, we were in a different postcode, so it didn't count.

I've put Yeovil as it seems to be popular and about middlish, but I really don't mind.

I'm happy to go where ever. Asuming the boss grants permission that is!

Thanks for organising us Axl. God knows we need it!!!

Reckon you are right Donkey.

Anyone else still suffering from Koln Blues?

I've not had a chance to get Koln Blues (someone really needs to compose a piece called that!) - life's been too crazy since we got back. Will probably get a delayed reaction in the next couple of weeks I'm sure.....
