Just found out from Jonno earlier today that I've been included in this year's Cologne trip which is news to me as I never even planned in going. I've no idea who put my name on the list, but it definitely wasn't me sleep-writing or anything else to that effect.
For the record, I'm not going and if anyone moans that I've dropped out, I haven't as I was never meant to be on there to begin with, so I can't drop out of anything I never even put myself forward for doing. Therefore any unpaid fees or gaps aren't down to me at all, but whoever signed me up (unbeknown to me) so the blame rests entirely with them.

Astradyne, you sound very annoyed - I suggest you sort this out with your own band, band master and Heron's band master rather than on here. It has nothing to do with the majority of us. Only people on the list from your own band and your friends from other bands would notice that you were on the list and now aren't and I'm sure you've told them the reason. If I hadn't found out when I called Johnno this morning I probably wouldn't have even known until maybe the day everyone's going out on. Yeah I am annoyed that someone has done this as they're trying to make me appear unreliable for signing up for something and not even turning up without so much as an explanation. Further to Anne's comments, several people have already dropped out for various reasons. Most of whom actually wanted to go, so please Astradyne don't have a dig at people on this forum, some of whom you don't know.
We'll be moaning in Cologne undoubtedly, but probably due to the lack of beer, lack of sleep, quality of the food, Debbie hiding a gherkin in your pink, amount of horse $hit, George dawes and his vibrato, Captain Come Face's next party trick, the pipers 'tuning up' at 7am, the cold, the wet, capes, hmmmm shall I go on????

I'm not having a dig at anyone on here, it's just that having my name put forward for something I knew absolutely nothing about may have caused a great deal of grief later on which could lead to people jumping to completely the wrong conclusion.
Still, I hope the numbers add up, and sounds like you're all gonna have fun - whatever you do with gherkins is entirely up to you!
