I have heard some of the less couth members of the Band Service using the anacronym BOBFOC for a female who from behind has the figure of a goddess and from the front looks like Richie B after eating lipstick.

Social Hand Grenade - same meaning as the one that reminded me of this one, the Atmosphere Hoover...

Also, V dissappointed to see no explanation of "Chatham Dog-End!".

Talking of Chatham Dog Ends - was the face of the TF sticker, i.e Hornblower/Ffgolamp avatar, modelled on Mac Magill, or was Addy Harper a dog end too ? Methinks we need a competition for the most miserable looking bandy/dogend.

P.S. - Happy Haythorne joined Fleet too late to qualify.

Biff Beaver was the model Ffoggy - the original dog-end.

The picture first appeared on a T shirt.

Thanks for that Stu. I just had to know. It makes you think though...........how many miserable looking dog ends there were. Thanks TF.

Anyway Stu. Enjoyed your quiz answers. Meanwhile.....go on then........give us the original dog end definition/story/etc. don't forget I only joined in as a Command House refugee in 1981.

you owe it to us, this forum deserves a LEGEND to tell all..........

Not too bated I hope ol' mucker!

This leg end has to go to bed - due to age and an upcoming marriage to girl 22 years his junior

(Why do I now get the feeling that you're more interested in her than the origins of the term dogend?)

I will tell all, but I still want to know what others' perceptions of the origins of the infamous Dogend title might be.

George Tate might remember.....

That's the last laugh above ... !

Tara was reading this thread and wishes me to tell me that I am guilty of wishful thinking - she's actually 23 years my junior. D'oh!

(OK it was 2nd to last, this one's the official last.)

Lets have a competition to find the longest reply sentence in the world.

It has to be relevant to the thread....It has to be created by extremely good eggs....It has to be very funny and finally it has to be devoid of b***ox. Aardvarks are automatically exempt because we are the only ones allowed to post s**t.

Anyone who fails in the category will be zapped by my special Aardvark Bulls**t spray and Arfa will chew your left earlobe off .....slowly.

Finally non-compliance will result in you being forced to eat a 10 day old chicken Bhoona and Bundy Botty and Deli Belli will be the horrific results.

The longest I can find are:
"The longest recorded prison sentences were ones of 7,109 years, awarded to 2 confidence tricksters in Iran (formerly Persia) on June 15, 1969. The duration of sentences are proportional to the amount of the defalcations involved. A sentence of 384,912 years was demanded at the prosecution of Gabriel March Grandos, 22, at Palma de Mallorca, Spain, on March 11, 1972, for failing to deliver 42, 768 letters.

"Richard Honeck was sentenced to life imprisonment in the U.S. in 1899, after having murdered his former schoolteacher. It was reported in November, 1963, that Honeck, then aged 84, who was in Menard Penitentiary, Chester, III., was due to be paroled after 64 years in prison, during which time he had received one letter (a 4-line note from his brother in 1904) and 2 visitors, a friend in 1904 and a newspaper reporter in 1963. He was released on December 20, 1963.

"Juan Corona, a Mexican-American, was sentenced to 25 consecutive life terms for murdering 25 migrant farm workers he had hired, killed, and buried in 1970-1971 near Feather River, Yuba City, Calif., on February 5, 1973, at Fairfield, Calif."
