When the forum was created we were one of 10000 forums hosted on this server and shock of shocks, we were bottom of the pile.
Just before leave I looked at the MFF site and at the forum directory. We had moved ont page 15 and were 294th on the list. In less than a month, we have moved to page 7 and are 128th on the list.
We have gone from very few hits per day in the fledgling days to over 2000 hits per DAY!

Well done Mark, without your forethought and complete dedication this Forum would not be the success it is today. Let's get on the first page and get to the top soon... I just hope we're not competing with Po*n sites that's all....Booty :O)

Our host is a UK based company and have very strict ethics and rules. We have a good working relationship with them and they suit our style. I am allowed to edit our styles, images and icons to make the forum 'ours'. I'm looking at doing the buttons (the ones that are musical notes at the moment) with Globe and Laurels on at some point but I'll have to look at any implications for low resolution screen users (800 X 600 px).
You people are the forum, I'm just the painter and decorator!

Max is a VERY fine cartoonist. He only 'barf decorated' after liquid inspiration. I have the same problem.......having to cope with vomit before creating a masterpiece is extremely cumbersome.

As you have now passed the 10000 post milestone I thought an update was in order:
You are now 26th out of the whole of the server 10000 forums.
Our next "target" is 450 posts ahead of us but as they are still an active forum that gap is slowly decreasing. There are a couple of forums gaining on us (one with 31 members and an average post rate of about 20 per day per member!)

Number of posts: 10162
Posts per day: 47.50
Number of topics: 557
Topics per day: 2.60
Number of users: 312 (No spammers due to the security issues of allowing them to remain)
Users per day: 1.46
Board started: Mon Sep 12, 2005 3:10 pm
