Well done at the festival guys - all 9 of you! Your marching display was fantastic!

Congratulations to all 8 plus a short 1 - me thinks there is a tuba/euph sticking out of the bass drummers head.

No, it is 8! I have shown the photo to Adge (who is stood next to me and thanks you all for your kind comments). The Tuba belongs to the conductor who conducted with one hand and fiddled with his valves with the other (Ohhh errr Matron)

Not the twelve minutes past six Bill... They did the Music from the Royal Fireworks... no fireworks and not too much music. It was more like the Music from the Royal Sparkler (small one) in the Garden just after it got dark. Adge had to go with what he could with what he had and he lost 20% of his concert band (one person) 2 days before the competiton. I'll give Adge one thing... you can't get him down! He really does have Rubber duck syndrome and always bounces back!!

No, not that Tuba, the one sticking out above Adge's left hand.

I think the bass drummer is carrying a midget on baritone in a rucksack -look at the shadows, there's only 8 (spooky)

Unless someone has placed a baritone holding bollard in the back rank on the left of the photo (it looks like a hat to me), I still make it 9 - drum major, Adge, 2 side drummers, base drum, two bones, a cornet and a baritone (midget, held by base drummer, hallucination or whatever)! But Adge will know and if he says 8 then 8 it was - spooky indeed! Maybe the photographer was pi$$ed and his camera was seeing double. Maybe we could get a tv production team interested - Most Haunted Bands. Confusing indeed. Hadn't realised a 'well done guys' post would great so much debate!

Once you've got your feet well and truly under the table on here you'll realise that anything is possible and there are tangents a plenty.
