Hiya, im a 19 year old student about to start Uni in Derby doing BA popular music and music technology.

I'm in the Sea Cadets and am a confessed band geek and with any luck I will join the RMBS after Uni.

I am grade 6 popular guitar (not classical)
I also play side drum and an hoping to pick up the bugle again.

I'm sure there will be a Sea Cadet cant kicking around...or dare i say it.............Air Cadets. ( im sorry for swearing)

Hi Mole,
Welcome to our forum.
I remember in the 70s and 80s there was a Boys Brigade drum/bugle band that achieved British Champion status. This was in Alvaston (Derby suburb). I don't think the band exists any more but I'm sure there are still other bands in the Derby area.
